An island holiday sounds like a lot of organising until you get there. On Daydream Island the resort is the whole show: breakfast, the pools, the beaches and the reef are all a short walk from your room, and the biggest decision of the day is where to watch the sunset.
This GO Deal bundles three nights with daily buffet breakfast, welcome drinks and a $200 food and beverage credit. Here's what's in it, what it costs, and how to lock it in for a $99 deposit before you've picked your dates.

Daydream Island sits in the Whitsundays, in waters protected by the Great Barrier Reef. The sea around it is warm and gentle, which makes it just as good for families with young kids as for couples who mostly want a sun lounger and a view. You can spend a day moving between the swimming pools and the coral beaches, take a walk through the island's rainforest, or snorkel the resort's own Living Reef, home to more than 100 species of sea creatures.
When the day winds down, Lovers Cove is the place to be: the sunset over the water there is the island's nightly main event.
| Room | Sleeps | Low season | High season |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resort King Room | 2 adults | $999 | $1,299 |
| Resort Twin Room | 2 adults + 2 children | $999 | $1,299 |
| Superior Pool View Room | 2 adults + 2 children | $1,049 | $1,349 |
| Superior Ocean View Room | 2 adults + 2 children | $1,199 | $1,499 |
| Deluxe Ocean Terrace Room | 2 adults | $1,249 | $1,549 |
Your $99 deposit comes off these totals, and children means ages 2 to 12. You don't have to pick your room until you book.
Which one should you choose? Families: the Resort Twin Room is the same price as the King, with two queen beds, so it's the obvious value pick. Want a view for the kids to wake up to? The Superior Ocean View Room looks out over the Whitsundays. Couples: the Deluxe Ocean Terrace Room faces straight out over the ocean, with a king bed, a large terrace and an espresso machine for slow mornings.

Take the ferry across (remember your 50% discount), check in and collect your welcome drinks. Spend the afternoon by the pool, then wander down to Lovers Cove for sunset with that bottle of sparkling wine.
Start with the buffet breakfast, then visit the Living Reef. Kids love it, and you can get a close look at the fish and coral without a boat trip. After lunch, take one of the rainforest walks or just swap between pool and sand. Put your $200 credit towards a long dinner.
The Whitsundays' famous day trips, such as Whitehaven Beach and the outer Great Barrier Reef, are worth a look if you have the energy, so ask at the resort about options. Or stay put, eat breakfast slowly and spend the last day doing absolutely nothing. Both are the right answer.

If you can't find available dates within 30 days of purchase, you're eligible for a full refund of your deposit (subject to availability within the voucher's travel dates, excluding blackout dates).
